Day 1 – Home to Moy Swing Bridge I bounced out of bed bright and early catching the 6.45am train out of Rugby up to Glasgow, then from Glasgow Queen Street up to Fort William. The Great Glen Way was calling me and frankly I couldn’t wait to get started. Day 4 – Beinglas Farm to Tyndrum The shop at Beinglas opens at 0730hrs so I was first in the queue eager to get going with some supplies on board. Day 1 – Milngavie to Conic Hill I’d been planning to walk the West Highland Way for some time, I’d watched countless YouTube videos, read the guide book, bought the map and set out my itinerary. That joke isn’t funny anymore… Started as a bit of banter, ended up underprepared, overpacked, not really much of a clue. Yet somehow we managed to walk the 84 miles across Hadrians Wall in 3 days, 6 hours and 4 mins.  I know it was definitely the extra 4 mins as this is how many minutes past closing we were at Wallsend gift shop!  Suffice to say the owner relented and duely stamped our ‘passport’ to prove we had made it end to end.
